Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller
Faberlog is operated as an individual business. For the purposes of data protection law, the data controller is the operator of Faberlog. You can contact us at privacy@faberlog.com.
2. What Data We Collect
Account Data
When you register, we collect your name and email address. This information is necessary to provide you with access to the Service.
Business Data
You may enter data about your customers, jobs, work phases, payments, and other business information. This data belongs to you and is stored solely to provide the Service.
Payment Data
Pro subscription payments are processed by Paystack. Faberlog does not store credit card numbers. Paystack may store payment authorisations needed for recurring charges. See Paystack's privacy policy for how they handle payment data. Live billing is only active when Paystack live keys are configured on the server.
Usage Data
We do not currently run a product analytics SDK or collect anonymised usage analytics (page views or feature interactions) beyond what is necessary to operate the Service (for example, authentication session cookies).
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Faberlog service. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your business data for advertising or profiling.
4. Data Storage
Your data is stored using the following providers:
- Database: Neon PostgreSQL
- File storage: Cloudflare R2
Region selection is configured in our hosting accounts. Contact us if you need the current region details for your account.
5. Third-Party Processors
We use the following third-party service providers to operate Faberlog today:
- Paystack — Pro subscription payments
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Cloudflare — file storage (R2)
- Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting
- Google — optional OAuth sign-in
Each processor acts under our instructions and is contractually bound to protect your data.
6. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law (including the GDPR where it applies), you may have rights to access, rectify, or erase personal data we hold about you. In Faberlog you can:
- Rectify: Update your name and other account fields in Settings.
- Erase: Delete your account and associated data from the Settings page. Deletion removes database records immediately and deletes objects under your account prefix in file storage.
- Access / portability: Download a copy of your customers, jobs, work phases, file metadata, invoices, and business profile anytime from Settings (JSON or CSV). You can also email privacy@faberlog.com if you need help.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your database records are removed immediately and associated files in object storage are deleted as part of that process. We do not promise a specific backup purge window beyond what our infrastructure providers apply to their own backups.
8. Cookies
Faberlog uses only session cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the Service. These include:
- Authentication session cookies (better-auth)
- Language preference cookie (NEXT_LOCALE)
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies that require consent.
